Describing One Man’s Daring Purpose

Have you watched this show? It’s called, “Whale Wars.” Strange name, more on that later.
Captain Watson and his team goes out in a medium sized ship to stop whaling.
The show I watched touched me so deeply that I wanted to share this episode with you. These people risks their lives doing what they do.
So the show I saw really kept me on the edge of my seat. Why? Captain Paul Watson, who pilots the Steve Irwin headed out to sea with his crew with the intent to stop whaling ships from killing whales.
And they were doing this combating some very treacherous waters. As you can see from the picture above, they don’t have a big ship to work with. And besides that, they go where ice bergs float next to them. But here’s the clincher ,their ship is not ice worthy! That’s why they’re hoping to purchase a bigger and faster ship to take care of the whales.
Here’s what I saw happen during this episode. The ship and crew were taking on water and the ship was being tossed in all directions. They were really in danger of sinking! I personally saw the people on the Steve Irwin were risking their lives for the sake of whales. Bless their hearts.
Talk has to stop when it comes to the protection of whales. And this crew is a whale’s best friend. The only suggestion I would have would be this. How about change their name from Whale Wars to Whale’s Freedom? It’s positive mission rather than a combative name. You might have a better name.
Conditions Change
Next, the seas started getting calm again as the storm went away. And once again, the captain and crew looked at their radar scopes in search of the Japanese whaling ships.
One of the tools that Captain Watson ha s to use is a helicopter. They use it to move very quickly to spot whaling ships.
And with that, the pilot lifted off the ship quickly in the air. The helicopter pilot searched for a long time without spotting the ship. Finally, the pilot spotted a ship way in the distance. So the helicopter pilot radioed in to the Steve Irwin, “Hello this John, the helicopter pilot, I’ve located a whaling ship, I think it’s the Nisshin Maru.” “Roger that, head back to the ship, will take it from here, answered the radio operator from the ship. ” The Nisshin Maru is the biggest in the Japanese whaling fleet.
The Sea Changes
Here is where it got tricky. The whaling vessels were behind a huge ice field! Yes indeed, we’re talking icebergs! And, the Sea Shepherd and crew missed the place where there was open and clear water. So what were they going to do now?
The captain decided the only way was to go through the ice field! Captain Watson knew it was the only way they were going to catch the whaling vessels. As the Sea shepherd made its way through the ice field, I could hardly believe my eyes. To my astonishment, The hull of the ship was pushed in by the ice. They were in dangere of sinking right them. Talk about bravery.
The ice was no match for the ship! Remember the Titanic? It’s the same thing that was happening with the Steve Irwin and crew. The captain and crew bravely made their course through the ice field. Luckily the iceberg didn’t puncture the hull, and they did not sink. Whew! What an episode!

The show I saw alone is reason enough for Captain Watson to get the fastest ship. Also he deserves a ship that can glide through ice. Come on people of the world, we can do this! I know the kids of the world would want them to have the best ship money could buy. I mean, think about their mission?
Stopping Whaling
Just what does the Captain Watson’s crew do when they get next to a whaling vessel? They toss spoiled butter onto the decks to taint whale meat that the Japanese crew is preparing. It gets the job done, because the whale meat is then ruined, and they can’t sell it. Plus it shuts down the whaling operation.
Whales have been around for millions of years, that’s why Captain Watson and his crew are so important at this time. Sometimes things are meant to end. The Japanese don’t need whale meat to survive. We can just let the whales live in their home in peace. Doesn’t that sound nice?

If you like to learn about whales, I found a couple of books for you to check out. This is a five star book for kids. They are inheriting this planet.

Write somebody about whales:
Remember, be for a species, and write someone to say how you feel about whaling. Someone will listen. You might even get the person to fall out of their chair because someone 7 to 12 wrote them a letter. What will I write about next? Don’t get me started. Well, this is Scott Bright, “Speciesguy signing off for now.”
Come say hi.
